LAMB & GOAT JUDGES

Jimmy Key

Grandview, TX

​

Jimmy Key attended Tarleton State University.  He has been an Ag Science Instructor for 25 years, currently teaching at Grandview High School.  He has been judging livestock shows for 20+ years including county, regional, and state shows across Texas and the Midwest.  He and his wife Shellee have been married 20 years. He has a daughter Kaitlin, 30 and a son Wyatt who is 18.  He says one of his greatest blessings are the kids and families that he has gotten to know as a result of showing livestock. He says that there is no place he would rather be than at a livestock show.

Luke Hammer

Santo, TX

Luke Hammer grew up in Anderson, Texas.  He is the owner of Hammer Livestock and Hammer Livestock Showmanship Camps.  Luke has been raising show goats since 2008 and has helped kids succeed on the biggest stages in Texas.  Grand at Fort Worth, Reserve at State Fair, Fort Worth and San Angelo to name a few. Luke is currently still raising goats and is a full-time insurance agent with Texas Farm Bureau insurance.

SWINE JUDGES

Clayton Schram

Sealy, TX

Clayton Schram grew up in Sealy, Texas where he showed multiple species while helping his family with their commercial cattle. This sparked his interest in showing, which led him down the path of 4H and FFA. He now raises both show pigs and purebred Brangus back home. After high school he went on to be on very competitive judging teams at both Blinn College and Texas A&M. He now continues to pursue his passion for livestock evaluation through judging shows all throughout the country, as well as the Calgary Stampede in Canada. Schram currently owns and operates Schram Livestock.

Michael Rezendes

Bryan, TX

Michael Rezendes comes to us from Bryan, TX, originally from Madera, CA.  He grew up on his family’s almond ranch where he and his brothers’ showed pigs and goats.  After his high school judging career, he moved to Brenham, TX where he was a member of the Blinn College livestock judging team.  Recently, he graduated from Texas A&M where he studied animal science and was a member of an extremely successful livestock judging team.  Currently he is employed at Trans Ova Genetics and also works with Brockman Farms focusing on Showpig Camps, sales, and feeding of projects.  His biggest passion is giving back to the industry that grew him and working with the future leaders of the livestock industry.

CATTLE JUDGES

Shane Jennings

Danbury, TX

​

Raised in Angleton, TX, Shane Jennings spent his time raising and exhibiting cattle at the local, state, and national level.  Upon graduating high school, he then went on to earn an Associates degree from Blinn College and then his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Sam Houston State University while participating on the Livestock Judging Team for both programs.  From there, Shane went back to SHSU where he received his Masters degree in Agriculture while serving as their collegiate Livestock Judging Coach.  He now lives in Danbury, Texas with his wife Jessie of 14 years, their 13-year-old son, Konnor, and 9-year-old daughter, Kamryn. When Shane isn’t judging livestock shows across the nation, he enjoys taking his own kids to cattle shows throughout Texas.

Braden House

Iola, TX

​

Braden House from Iola, TX is a 6th generation cattleman, but first generation to raise show cattle. Specializing in purebred Charolais show heifers, he and his wife Nicole own and operate Big House show cattle. Braden and Nicole are involved in every aspect from donor and recipient cow selection and management to sale and show calf management as well as both bull promotion and sale promotion and all facets of customer service both at home and at the shows.
